3 Spring Trends that Kind of Suck
2017 Spring fashion wear is here and what we mostly saw on the runway and on all the stars right now is an 80's and 90's clothing revival. Bomber jackets and chokers are back.
YIKES.
One of those fun clothing rebirths is the robe.
Yes, the robe. Now it looks fun and edgy on many of the runway models, but I am choosing to opt out of this trend like many of my other 30 something mom friends. Instead of a bathrobe, I am embracing the kimono this spring. The kimono made an appearance last spring and well if it ain't broke don't fix it.
I love this kimono. The pink color is always great for the spring and very on target with the trends. It is also so soft with a beautiful print. Pair it with shorts or jeans and a tank to alternate any boring outfit. It is my favorite statement piece. You can find yours here.
Another hot trend are printed floral dresses. But like Meryl Streep from The Devil Wears Prada once said, "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking." Instead of florals this spring, I am going with something a bit more age appropriate and choosing to wear a print that isn't as young like this navy tribal print dress that has a great back detail. You can wear it with a flat sandal or dress it up by belting it and adding a heel. Find yours here.
The last spring trend that has me asking "Why?" are the chunky sky-high platform shoes that the Spice Girls made popular in the 90's. Let's just say "No" and agree that you need a nude heel to wear with shorts, jeans and dresses this season.
