How to support your community this holiday season.
This post is sponsored by McAlister’s Deli.
The holidays are here and I love that this season is beginning to make a shift from Black Friday chaos to Giving Tuesday and beyond. As everyone will tell you, the holidays really aren't about what you can get from others, but what you can give to others.
Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I devoted my working career to giving back to my community and working with at-risk children and youth, so it is ingrained in me to help others in our community. That’s why I chose to partner with McAlister’s Deli for its “Warming Up the Community” campaign to let you know how to give back, while enjoying some delicious McAlister’s food.
Did you know that you can give back to others every time you order a bowl of soup at participating McAlister’s Deli locations through December? You sure can! This year from now until Dec. 31 participating McAlister’s Deli locations in Louisville, KY will be donating to Meals on Wheels America in an effort to reduce senior hunger and isolation. McAlister’s pledge is to donate a minimum of $10,000 to help local seniors. So every time you order a bowl of soup, they will donate $0.10 from each bowl sold. With delicious soups, such as the tomato bisque and broccoli cheddar, it will be easy for us to contribute. Especially with kids eating free after 4 p.m., we'll buy a couple more bowls for lunch the next day!
