5 Healthy Recipes with Greek Yogurt.

Spring is here and that means bikini season is just around the corner. And as a busy mom there isn’t much time for hitting the gym that’s why I am modifying my diet. But let’s be honest we need to eat things that the whole family eats because there is no time for making a separate meal plan with two little’s running around.

That’s why I have done a round up of some of my favorite recipes with Greek Yogurt.

Healthy Recipes with Greek Yogurt

1.Greek Yogurt Blueberry Pancakes

Ingredients

1 6 oz container of FAGE Total 0% Yogurt

1 large egg

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 cup blueberries

Instructions

Mix yogurt and egg together. Add flour and baking soda. Gently fold in blueberries.

scoop out 1/4 cup of mixture into a pan. Cook for about 3 min on each side until golden brown.

Top with FAGE Total Greek yogurt instead of syrup for an even healthy breakfast.

2. Yogurt breakfast energy bowl

A great healthy breakfast for the busy mornings.

Ingredients

grapefruit

sunflower seeds

raisins

Instructions

Dice grapefruit and add to yogurt. Top with additional ingredients and enjoy.

3.Healthy Greek Yogurt Mac and Cheese

Ingredients Nonstick cooking spray Salt 4 ounces whole wheat macaroni 1/2 cup onion-garlic puree 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard Pinch cayenne pepper 1 cup shredded cheddar 1/3 cup nonfat FAGE Total 0% Greek yogurt 1/4 cup whole wheat panko bread crumbs 1/4 cup grated Parmesan

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Mist an 8-by-8-inch baking dish with cooking spray; set it aside.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook according to package directions, drain.

Meanwhile, bring onion-garlic puree, mustard, and cayenne to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring often. Whisk in cheddar until melted. Remove from heat and whisk in yogurt.

In a medium bowl, toss the macaroni with the cheese sauce. Season with salt to taste. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle panko over the top. Top with Parmesan.

Bake until Parmesan is melted and macaroni is hot throughout, about 10 minutes.

4.Greek Yogurt Chicken Strips

Ingredients

4 boneless/skinless chicken breasts

1/2 cup parmesan cheese - grated

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt

pepper and salt to taste

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees and cut chicken into strips

Combine Greek yogurt, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, seasoned salt, salt and pepper in a bowl.

Line baking sheet with foil and spray lightly with cooking spray.

Coat each chicken breast in greek yogurt mixture and place on foiled baking sheet.

Bake for 45 minutes.

5.Chocolate Chip Yogurt Dip

2-4 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder [depending on how rich you want it]

1 Tablespoon maple syrup

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

dark chocolate chips

1. Mix ingredients together until there are no lumps from the cocoa powder and add more maple syrup if desired.

2. Chill [covered] in the fridge.

3. Top with chocolate chips.
