Back to School Looks with Gymboree

This post is sponsored by Gymboree, but like always all thoughts and opinions are my own.

My son will be going to daycare here soon just for a few half days and it has this mama a nervous wreck. Will he get the attention he needs? What if kids are mean to him? What if he picks up bad habits? What if? What if? What if? How in the world am I going to survive him going to school for 8 hours a day?!

But the reality is is that I know this will be so good for him and even good for me. He'll get to be surrounded by lots of children and well learn so many valuable lessons such as sharing, taking turns and considering others feelings and I'll value the hours with him even more. So this stay-at-home mama's only goal this upcoming school year is to share her son with others and to savor all the little moments with her boy.

The best moment by-far this school year has been doing the obligatory school shopping at Gymboree. Let's just say I had way too much fun dressing up my little man like a big kid! I like to dress my son in layers since the mornings are cold and the air conditioning isn't turned off in the schools until mid September. He needs a cute classic pocket tee (preferably in a fun color. We chose yellow.) But I also like to have a sweater or cardigan that we can walk to school in and that he can take off when he gets too warm. My favorite is the striped sweater from Gymboree. Pair it with a classic skinny jean and a chambray boat shoe from Gymboree and you got one cute kid.

But it didn't really hit me that my little guy was turning into a big boy until he got dressed and he put on his tiger striped backpack and his coordinating tiger hat. It seriously transformed him into such a big boy! Where did my baby go?! He was also over the moon for his new airplane lunchbox which made me chuckle thinking of the kindergartners that I use to teach who always showed off their new lunch boxes. My son had some how turned into one of them already.

So I'll just be over here looking at photos of my little guys first day of daycare counting the minutes for him to be back home.
