Healthy Dinners in 3 Minutes

Life as a stay-at-home parent is hard!

There are chores to be done, bills to pay, kids to entertain and then dinner to be cooked when you are already exhausted. And if you are a stay-at-home parent with a spouse who works late or travels for work it means that we don't get any extra help especially around dinner time.

That means no one to play with the baby for thirty minutes while you enjoy a moment of silence while cooking dinner. Instead, we are while trying to create a healthy and balanced dinner while making sure the baby isn't crying from either hunger or not being in our arms. And let's face it. On those daddy free nights we opt out of healthy food options for ourselves and our children, eat a pizza or another pb&j sandwich and call it good.

The struggle is real!

However, I have discovered a huge secret on how to create a healthy dinner with fresh ingredients and it takes no longer then 3 minutes.

This isn't your regular food subscription service where you are mailed the ingredients but still have to spend the time reading the instructions and cooking the meal. And though those are fun, I still do not have the time, especially on those long days where I am the only parent, to do the cutting and chopping.

Freshly makes it so easy for my family to eat a healthy and delicious meal on those long days.

How it works

You can choose to receive 4, 6, 9, or 12 meals a week. We chose the 12 meal plan and it made life very easy that week while my husband was gone. We had lunch and dinner ready for us and when my husband returned home he really enjoyed taking these meals to work for lunch.

2. Choose your meals.

Choose from a list of meals that a team of chefs will cook for you with with fresh, never frozen ingredients! The meals are always gluten free and never have processed sugars in them and are all made with natural ingredients. When I flipped the package over to read the ingredients there were a handful listed and they were all real foods.

We loved everything! My husband really loved the southwest chicken bowl, my son loved the meatballs and I loved the Jamaican style jerk chicken.

3. Wait.

The food will be delivered to your door in a well insulated box.

4. Preparation

Pop the meal of your choice into the microwave for a few minutes, plate it and dinner is done!

And that's it! You have dinner that literally took minutes, is healthy and delicious! I swear it tasted like leftovers from a great restaurant we ate at the night before. And we all know, leftovers are so much better!
